Hi, i'm GalaxyRob, a global moderator on the forum and I thought I'd start this thread off by introducing myself.  I bought a Galaxy Pad in December as I found the ipad a little too big to take everywhere with me.  I liked the 7 inch size factor and also like that I was able to port my adroid games over easily.  I'm definitely a bit of a  tech nerd and love other Samsung products ( tv's, dvd, Galaxy S).   Looking forward to making this the leading Galaxy Tab site on the web.  Please introduce yourself

sounds like your the guy to convert me from apple. i bought the gen1 iphone and now own the 4. i liked the iphone but now im bored. my boss has a galaxy tab but i dont like the small size. does the galaxy have more to offer than the ipad? i dont like how limited the ipad is.

I love my tab. Got it on the first day it came out and have used it every day since.  I'm curious what the follow up to their 7 inch Galaxy Tab will be.  You know any details on the update?

I'm a big fan of these new tablets.  I had a palm pilot, palm 3, had a Newton for a short time and a Thinkpad tablet as well.  Haven't made the jump yet to one of these newer tablets but I'm excited about the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and possibly the Xoom.  Glad you started this forum so we can learn more about it.  After it comes out I'll offer to do some moderation if you want.

Hi just got an upgrade for my phone and decided to get the tab, it should arrive by tuesday really looking forward to this.
At the moment i am using a samsung wave and have nothing but positive things to say about it.

Hi Rob,

Glad to read you are a bit of a Tech Nerd.  I just bought my Tab (in Southeast Asia).  Different from those sold here in USA.  Mine is also a phone.  Need Media Hub.  Any ideas?  Samsung is no help.  I have been sent all over the world (via telephone) with absolutely no progress.

As far as I know the Samsung Media Hub is only in the U.S.  Although I do remember either reading or hearing that Samsung is going to announce some kind of media hub for the european market soon to take advantage of the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet which is being marketed as more an entertainment hub. 

As far as Asia, I haven't heard anything unfortunately.  I would think that if they are selling Tabs in asia then they will come up with some kind of media service eventually but I have no specific information.
