How much the original 7 inch Galaxy Tab costs really depends on which model you get and whether you buy it with a cellular contract or not.  If you get the Wi-Fi version expect to pay in the $350 range although I've seen it as low as $335 if you shop around.  The 3G version purchased with a 2 year wireless contract will cost you between $150-$199 depending on the company you get it through.  If you only want a one year cellular commitment expect to pay a bit more, probably in the $250-$299 range.

On Yugster.com you can find a factory refurbished GT 7 wi-fi and with 3G, Sprint version, but without the contract for $255.00. You have to go to the Sale tab called YugOver Deals.

I bought one and received it last week.  It is just like new. It has 2.2 on it when you get it, but I activated it on Sprint on a 1Gb plan for $19.99/month (no long-term contract) and it notified me there was a firmware update ready.  I updated it, and it now runs Gingerbread.  It is working great.  I have read that you can upgrade through Kies software to Gingerbread, but I wanted 3G accessibility for navigation programs, so went with the 1Gb data package. I use wi-fi for all but navigation.

I am extremely pleased with my purchase and with my GT 7.
