Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 2 Compatibility

Several users have asked if we have knowledge about the forward compatibility between the Galaxy Tab's Android 2.2 operating system and future iterations including Honeycomb 3.0.   While we don't have inside knowledge, judging from comments made by Samsung in the past current Galaxy Tab users should not expect automatic compatibility with future versions of Android, however it is likely that many applications will work nonetheless.  Especially with 2.3 Gingerbread which is likely to receive an official release on the Galaxy Tab before long.
