Samsung was pretty aggressive in being the first tablet manufacturer to come out with a competing slate after the iPad rebirthed the tablet segment over two years ago now.  The original Galaxy Tab was a 7 inch tab running Android and many derided it as an uncompelling choice when stacked up against the iPad.  But despite the naysayers it developed a following.  No, perhaps it didn't set the world on fire but it really laid the groundwork for all the other electronics manufacturers...the Motorolas, Sonys and Toshibas of the world to enter the Android tablet world as well as Samsung introducing its other follow up models such ...

We hear a lot about what game or app is 'most popular' in the Android market (GooglePlay now) but in these days of free or free-ish apps what we don't really hear a lot is which games actually make their makers the most money.  Well guess what is #4 on the all time to earning games at GooglePlay.  Nope, not one of those Angry Pigeons and not the latest shoot-em-up Gameloft or Madden Football title from EA.    It's 'Airport City!'  Say what?  Yep...and it's a 'free' game to boot...with in-app purchases of course (which is where they make all their money).  Ah...but is the game any good?   You bet it is...it's actually REALLY ...

Angry Birds Space: NASA announcement

In what has got to be the first time ever a new video game launch was conducted from space, Rovio, the makers of the always popular 'Angry Birds' franchise, was able to get astronaut Don Petit to introduce the next title in the series, 'Angry Birds Space from the international space station.  Starting with some cool visuals showing the space station in orbit, astronaut Petit the gives us a basic lesson on 'space physics' and demonstrating how the trajectory of an object flying in space is affected by both weightlessness as well as the orbit around the earth.
